New Logo?

New Logo?

I think I like this. A picture says a thousand words, right? Tell me honestly how you think this would look as my logo on the cover of my patterns.
I think the main objection that graphic designers have to this is that it does not communicate what I do. The way I look at it is that if this is on the product itself, they know what I do, I want to show who I am, and where to find me for more.

  1. Sadly, I can't even think what your "heart" logo looked like, but I do really like this one. It is a great pic of you - your smile really shows your fun personality.

  3. I like this for your logo. You are bright and bubbly, and I especially love that it is black and white.

  4. It's a great picture Cherie. I know I like the personal photo for avatars but I think if you want to use a likeness for your logo maybe a drawn/cartooned image would be better.

  5. i'm an italian graphic designer, and i should say that a photo used as a logo doesn't work.
    but...this is just a rule, and...who cares?!?

  6. I'd have to agree with luna m. As an interior designer, we do a lot of identity design for clients (logos) and the goal is always to portray what the company is/does/etc. and a pic only shows who you are. But in the end, we had to please the client, so they had to like it too.

  7. As a web and print designer I can third the motion about the photo. A photo isn't a logo. Don't get me wrong its a great image for a bio page of your site.

However, the text iteself is simple and classic which always works for a logo.

I'd be happy to help if you want to chat offline. We could maybe trade services?
